Call to Order/Convene as Board of Equalization

Inform the public of the location of the Open Meetings Act (outside the door on the wall)

Inform the public the notice of the meeting has been published in the Palmer Journal and the Republican Nonpareil, and the Merrick County Website

Possible action on the agenda

Possible action on the minutes of April 23, 2013

Possible Action: Approval needed for Application for Exemption for Covenant Cedars Bible Camp for six vehicles and three trailers

Possible Action: Approval needed for tax correction #3656 for Gregg & Sonya Ferris for improvements to be burned and the taxes to be accelerated and tax correction #3657 for Charles and Lynelle Homolka for improvements to be burned and the taxes accelerated; tax correction #3658 for Patricia Campbell ID#2083for improvements to be burned and the taxes will be accelerated and tax correction #3659 for Todd Fishler for a house to be burned and the taxes accelerated.

Possible Action: Board to set the tax protest hearing dates and times.

Adjourn

Possible Action: Steve Martin with NE Dept of Ag to discuss with the County Board about becoming Livestock Friendly.

Possible Action: John Boeder with Strong Financial Resources in Aurora to speak to the Board about health insurance

Possible Action: Board to discuss the vacant position in the Treasurer’s office.

Possible Action: Wesley Ehlers, Sequoia Consulting Group to show the Board what they can offer for reimbursement of Clerk of District Court expenses

Possible Action: Shane Stutzman, District 5 Probation will present budget for 2013-2014 fiscal year.

Possible Action: Jess Brandes, Merrick County Ag, to ask Board for a special liquor license for the Merrick County Fair.

Possible Action: Approval needed for electrical agreement for Marcia Grafe between Section 20 and Section 19, Township 15, Range 5.

Possible Action: Approval needed for electrical agreement for Evan Brandes by Stoltenberg Irrigation between Section 20 and Section 29, Township 15, Range 6.

Possible Action: Approval needed for electrical agreement for Tim Szatko between Section 17 and Section 20, Township 15, Range 4.

Possible Action: Approval needed for irrigation pipe line agreement for Mike Santin Section 15, Township 15, Range 6

Possible Action: Budget proposals from the Historical Society, County Libraries, Region III Behavioral Health, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Central Platte NRD to be presented to the Board.

Possible Action: Janet Carson from Clerk’s office to discuss with the Board the balancing of the clerk’s accounts concerning claims from other offices.

Possible Action: Board to discuss the outstanding claim for $500.00 to Ed Sweet for the Fairview Cemetery Association.

Possible Action: Need Board approval on contracts from Grime Stoppers

Possible Action: Need Board approval of RESOLUTION 2013-16 authorizing the County Treasurer and County to Close the Unemployment Fund and move it to the General Fund.

Possible Action: Board to discuss the final audit report from the State

Possible Action: Need Board approve of the May 2013 fees from Sheriff, Clerk of District Court, and County Clerk.

Possible Action: Need approval of the May 2013 claims
